In case you haven't heard, our next trip to Honduras is scheduled for less than one month away. We depart on Thursday, March 7. Our itinerary this year includes the following:
- MEDICAL BRIGADES: We have two mornings designated for providing some basic care in the village of La Fortunita.
- SUNDAY SCHOOL: We will be visiting and leading Sunday School classes in at least three different churches.
- VBS: Our team is working hard preparing to lead a three day Vacation Bible School in La Fortunita, including puppets, crafts and even teaching the kids songs (in Spanish).
- EVANGELISM: Each evening after VBS, we are going to show portions from the Jesus film. People all over the world have been deeply impacted by this portrayal of the life of our Savior...many thousands have responded by surrendering their lives to Him. We are hoping this will take place during our trip.
- LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Two meetings have been scheduled with church leaders in different areas to see how we can equip them better to fulfill God's purposes
- BUILDING PROJECT: One member of our team will devote his energies to continuing work on the church building in La Fortunita, as well as any other small projects that might arise.
Woah...that's the first time I've listed that all out, and I didn't realize how ambitious our plans are. And right now, it seems like several loose ends are dangling out there in the breeze. In these final days of preparation, please be praying for the details to come into focus. As time permits, I'll try to share more about what we've got going on in each of these areas of action. Maybe writing about them will help the process.
